Two years later, no one trusts the water

Here is a story from Voice of America about how Flint residents still have no confidence that their water is safe.  Moms talk about how they still wash their babies with bottled water and take showers as quickly as they can.

Flint Fashion

Here is a great story about turning something negative into a positive. Flint has been surviving on bottled water since 2015. The result has been mounds of empty plastic bottles. Socially-conscious fashion designers are going to make a line of clothing out of the recycled plastic bottles called "Flint Fit."  The plan to debut the line of clothing at the Queens Museum in New York in April 2018. Pretty Cool!!!  https://www.voanews.com/a/flint-plastic-bottles-recycle-fashion-toxic-water-crisis/4095927.html

"A Silent Pediatric Epidemic"

According to a October 31, 2017 NPR report, Dr. Mona Hanna-Attisha describes the long-term effects of lead exposure in Flint children: "It's something that we see years if not decades after exposure to lead."  Children with exposure to lead deal with lower IQs and other behavioral problems.  There is no medical treatment for lead exposure.  It is an irreversible neurotoxin.
